About 2MV Logistics

Our values

After years of working in logistics, Jim Tyler (MD), took his wealth of experience and knowledge to build his own enterprise specialising in the transport and freight forwarding industry. In 2001 Jim began with just 1 close friend and one purple van. 19 years later the business has grown, with over 40 employees, partners within 2 successful pallet networks and an impressive fleet of over 25 vehicles. The family business (now comprising also of his 2 daughters) has continued to thrive, winners of numerous awards including depot of the year, experts in imports and exports and soon to be both FORS and AEO accredited. 2MV’s success can be attributed to the continual application of Jim’s vision and values, now being recognised throughout the organisation

Communication is the key to success

Nothing is more frustrating than not being in the know which is why we do all we can to make communication easy. Our phones are manned 4am-7pm Monday-Friday with little to no hold time. We aim to reply to all emails within 30 minutes during opening hours, and, our office staff will keep you updated with all vital information from beginning to end.

Honesty is the best policy

We are honest and open about the service we provide. If we believe a request is unachievable we will offer alternative realistic solutions. We won’t make promises we can’t keep. We don’t lay blame but take ownership and responsibility for our actions and those of our partners, allowing us to adapt and improve where needed.

We create solutions, not problems

We work hard to look at the bigger picture and pre-empt any factors that may effect the delivery from arriving on time. We then do all we can to reduce these risks before the shipment leaves. This may take lots more planning/investigating at our end but it’s worth it in order to prevent any unexpected surprises or fees. Should you find your self in need of help we are always one phone call away to getting you a solution.

We treat customers like family

2MV is a family business which prides itself on building close, loyal relationships. We get to know you and your needs personally which is why many of our customers have stayed with us since the beginning. We believe your business is as important as ours, and that by working together we’re able to develop a mutually beneficial relationship.

Careers

2MV Logistics values its staff and tries to offer a friendly, warm and supportive place to work. If you would like to work with us, we have a range of administrative and operational roles within the company.  While we don’t have any specific vacancies at the moment, when we do we’ll post them here and on our twitter feed.  So watch this space.
